Sorry, I don't get the connection between being a woman and being illegal... or it's just too early for me.

it’s a metaphor. being a woman isn’t literally illegal, but the way we’re treated makes it feel like we are. our clothes get policed. our bodies get shamed. our confidence gets punished. we speak and get labeled aggressive, emotional, or a bitch. we exist and get told to shrink.
